    Speakers:

Ancy Verdier, DMD: is the founder of Worcester Periodontics, a periodontal dental practice located in Worcester , MA where he practices periodontology and implant dentistry. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Tufts University, DMD and Periodontal residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Verdier is a Fellow in the International College of Dentists and American College of Dentists. He is also a regular contributor to Tufts Practice Based Research Network.

Sungyong Ban, DMD: Dr. Ban’s interest in dentistry began back in the days when he was shadowing a dentist at a local community health center. As he watched the dentist work, he started developing a deep appreciation for dentistry. He quickly realized the impact dentistry can have on patients’ ability to chew, smile, and lead better lives. After getting his DDS degree from UCLA (during which he won three awards), Dr. Ban went on to Harvard to receive specialized training and a degree in prosthodontics. With this specialized training he could now realize his dream of helping patients restore their smile and ability to chew properly. Dr. Ban values the multi-disciplinary approach to prosthodontics, enjoying the relationships he builds with other clinicians. He really appreciates the synergy of working with other clinicians to achieve an excellent result for the patient. The relationship with the patients is another things that Dr. Ban enjoys. He views the patient as part of the treatment planning team, clearly communicating the options to the patient in order to ensure active participation in treatment. Through the journey of rehabilitating a patient’s smile Dr. Ban and his patients often develop a close relationship that lasts in the years to come. Dr. Ban is truly dedicated to his craft and any time not spent on prosthodontics is spent with his wife and children. In addition to speaking English, Dr. Ban is also fluent in Korean.

    Moderator:
